- Electrical Company Scam: Scammers are impersonating electrical company employees and calling without prior notification, demanding immediate payment to avoid shut off.⁠

- Antivirus Scam: Scammers are impersonating employees from software companies. Scammers convince the victim that there is a virus on their computer or laptop, and the victim allows full access to the scammer. ⁠

If someone calls, especially with an urgent matter that requires personal information, please hang up and call the company back using the number listed on their website or from a reliable source. Company numbers can be spoofed, which allows hackers to impersonate businesses.
